What is the most important element in a work of art?
Subject, mood, theme, and rhythm all play an important part of fulfilling the artist’s vision. Art should invoke an emotional response. Intuitive gut instincts take over in the studio, along with basic understanding of art principles coming into play to create something that has the power to captivate the eye of the viewer. Look for something that speaks to you, analyze it, and know that the work of an artist is so much more than just making pictures on a whim.

The colors are unique as this set of seashells were found tucked away in the corner of a sheltered cove loved by the sea. Beautiful blues and greens come together in harmony in the pastel color pallet that nature created.
Materials Include: heavy duty embroidery thread, Czech glass beads, with superglue binding all the knots in place. The drift wood was air dried several months before receiving a finishing shellac spray over the finished artwork.
